Sales Support Officer
Developing Australian Communities

At our client, Developing Australian Communities (DAC), they believe that working closely with Service Providers, Carers and Participants in the NDIS sector, through their events, will ensure that the much-needed change in the sector will be provided for the betterment of the participants, providers and NDIS.

Despite the great work that the government is doing, they are only eight years into rolling out NDIS and it is still confusing, complex and challenging for people to understand what they can and can’t access, as well as for Service Providers and Carers to provide a world class service.

Combining their 50+ years experience in the Disability and Training sectors, the DAC team are simplifying the complex nature of NDIS. Through their large expos and conferences, participants will receive the right information from the right provider at the right time.

And that's where you come in!

Right now we've been charged with finding just the right individual to join DAC in the capacity of Sales Support Officer.

So, who are you?

Well, aside from 12+months sales development and/or lead generation and/or appointment setting experience from an industry where they have a strong customer service background, matched with a steel-like energy to challenge, push and be firm with clients, it's likely that people describe you as:

  • A quick learner and mentally adaptable;
  • Comfortable with technology;
  • A strong effective communicator - particularly over the phone;
  • A relationship-builder with great confidence-building people skills;
  • Fast-paced, multi-tasker;
  • Goal-driven & self-disciplined;
  • A natural people-person who loves socialising - especially over the phone;
  • Creative & quick on your feet;
  • Quietly confident;
  • A team player who can also act independently;
  • Posses a good 'sixth sense' - able to read people readily.

The role

To support DAC's National Account Managers (NAMs) with setting up appointments with engaged prospects from both inbound and outbound lead sources. Your objective is to have dozens of conversations daily with leads, get them excited about exhibiting and confirming appointments for the NAMs, whilst occasionally taking payments directly if the prospect is ready to go.

This role can most definitely work-from-home.

Why join DAC?

Well, first and foremost DAC's Vision, which is "To turn Australia into the world leader of disability services", really resonates with you. We want people that are inspired by standing up for what's right! Fighting for the rights of others really resonates for you. DAC make a BIG difference to the lives of both their exhibitors and visitors. They level the playing field for those living with a disability by decreasing barriers and increasing opportunities for them to live their best life.

It's a work-from-home role, with all of the flexibility and autonomy that that brings. You'll be remunerated well, including a reward component.
