The role of a Trainee Sales Assistant is the perfect entry point into a Real Estate sales career. As a Trainee Sales Assistant you will support NZ Sotheby’s International Realty's highly experienced Agent, Steve Kelso in a range of marketing and sales activities - and in turn, learn 'the ropes'.

 

With a passion for residential and commercial Architecture, and an engineering and project management career that spans more than 25 years in property across New Zealand and Australia, Steve brings extensive property experience and a professional teamwork approach to his clients.

A powerful negotiator, Steve has represented his brand in the successful negotiation of multimillion dollar deals and managed award winning projects both in New Zealand and Australia.

Known for getting the job done, Steve's solid reputation precedes him. His clients describe him as genuine and highly professional, while his colleagues remark on his high level energy, tenacity and motivation.

The job

 

Real Estate sales is not easy. It takes grit and determination. It needs patience and persistence. It needs creative thinking and commitment to a process. You'll need to commit to 5 long days a week for at least 3 years before you're fully-fledged. And another 3 before you can think about buying that supercar! Saturdays are a must and odd hours are part of the game...

 

For the right person though, Real Estate sales is one of the most lucrative professions to be in, affording a lifestyle and choices that are unparalleled.

 

NZ Sotheby’s International Realty is a very busy place to be. In most cases you'll do most of your learning on the job. You'll need to be good at observing Steve in action, a quick learner and courageous enough to ask questions.
