Progressive Legal isn’t your average law firm. For over a decade they’ve been building a tech-driven, commercially minded practice with a strong brand, a growing client base of over 4,000 Australian SMEs, and big ambitions in the short-to-medium term. They use HubSpot and Clio, they’ve baked AI into how they work, and they’re currently on a hiring spree, adding four new lawyers to the team. And this is your invitation to join them as their Client Relationship Manager / Business Development. Who are you? Ideally you’ll have 3+ years in a B2B sales or client management role within professional services someone who’s equally comfortable farming an existing account as they are opening a new one. You’ll be selling legal documents, advice and dispute resolution services to SME founders, directors and decision-makers, with an average deal of around $2,500 + GST and a one-to-four week cycle. Beyond the CV, people would probably describe you as: - Self-directed and comfortable owning your pipeline remotely
- Positive and solutions-first you don’t just flag problems, you fix them
- Proactive and one step ahead you anticipate what’s needed before being asked
- Commercially sharp you can read a room, qualify quickly and you’re not easily led astray by a vague prospect
- A genuine team player you celebrate others, share information and take personal responsibility when things go sideways
- Someone who cares about clients like they’re your own you under-promise, over-deliver, and stay in touch even when there’s no active work on
- Self-directed and comfortable owning your pipeline remotely
- Someone building a career, not just filling a role
You’ll also be confident with Outlook and HubSpot CRM. Experience in the legal industry or with Clio is a bonus, but not essential. The job? Reporting to the Practice Manager, you’ll own the commercial function across Australia: - Work a warm inbound pipeline from day one the website generates daily leads and there’s an existing database ready to farm
- Develop and retain the existing client base

- Average deal value ~$2,500 + GST with a short 1–4 week sales cycle
After an initial onboarding period, you’ll work fully from home. This is not a role where WFH is grudgingly tolerated it’s how they operate. Why would you? - Earning power: 10% uncapped commission. OTE $120K–$150K. The infrastructure is already there you’re not building from scratch.
