For the past eight years, the company has been building a portfolio and quietly selling its products both directly to the public and through other travel agencies. With the intention of building a dedicated team of Business Development Managers, Liberty Tours is emerging as a serious player in the international market for Australian travellers and their companions.

 

Its carefully crafted itineraries cater to all tastes, from captivating highlight tours to immersive tailor-made group experiences. With Liberty Tours, travellers can delve deeper into each destination, uncover hidden gems, and create lasting memories.

Who are you?

 

Ideally you're somebody that has significant experience in travel and tour sector sales. If this has included sales and marketing management all the better (although it doesn't matter what the segment is) ... what matters is that you are passionate about it and will generate exceptional sales results. 

 

In addition, people probably describe you as:

  • A quick learner and commercially savvy;
  • Good at juggling multiple priorities at the same time;
  • Very goal driven and energetic;
  • Self-confident but not overbearing;
  • Someone who enjoys interacting with travel business owners and decision-makers;
  • A creative and adaptable thinker;
  • Comfortable in taking charge of sales situations when needed;
  • Resilient;
  • Pro-active and keen to take the initiative;
  • Good at reading people; and
  • Methodologically able to approach the sales process in a well-organised way

The role

 

In the first instance, you'll be mainly devoted to sales - for the first 6 months or so. An achievable (light) sales target will be set, which allows you to familiarise yourself with the Liberty way of working. You’ll initially be at the forefront of building relationships with agency owners, and introducing them to a world of mid-market tours designed to deliver unforgettable experiences. 

 

Once you meet your sales target (around the six-month mark), you'll recruit a team of BDMs and your role will shift gear. You'll then manage the Sales, Marketing and Product Delivery teams.

 

Over time, you may be considered  for the opportunity to take on the responsibility - and rewards - of General Management.

Starting salary is $100K plus super plus incentives, and you'll be operating out of modern premises in Barangaroo International Tower 3.
